Most modern cutting machine software solutions are compatible with SVG files. If you have Silhouette Studio's Basic / Standard Edition, you can use DXF files that do not require tracing. I began including DXF files with all of my new cut file designs at the beginning of 2018. Files from before 2018 include a PNG clipart version that may be traced to make cut lines in Silhouette Studio. Cricut Design Space allows users to import SVG files. Silhouette users will need Silhouette Studio Designer Edition to import SVG files. I strongly recommend the Designer Edition upgrade since it allows you to open and work with SVGs in full color, and the other capabilities it includes are well worth the one-time payment. Users of Brother ScanNCut and DesignNCut can use the Canvas Workspace to open SVG files. My SVG files are also compatible with Make the Cut, Sure Cuts A Lot, Inkscape, CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, and any other vector design software that supports SVGs.
