Introduction

Wine tasting parties have always been their favourite. Seeing people's reactions after serving a brand-new wine is quite exciting. When COVID-19 struck, Jamie and Alex had just begun hosting wine tastings at their new Tring winery and tasting facility. We couldn't let others inside even though we had reservations for further wine sampling. We quickly realised that by re-bottling the wine into tiny bottles, we could still host the events for all of our customers, even though they were stranded at home. However, rebottling is challenging because the little bottles couldn't be used with our winery's machinery. Because oxygen entered the wines during the rebottling process, we were unable to maintain their quality for long enough to send them across the nation. Because of the weight, shipping proved challenging, expensive, and carbon-intensive. Even occasionally, the glass bottles would arrive shattered or too late for the tasting. Alex, our winemaker and a Cambridge-educated engineer, came up with our creative, lightweight packaging that would fit through your letterbox as a result of our brainstorming.
