After years of experimentation, frustration, and wasted vegetables, I unexpectedly discovered the solution to the problem that had troubled me for so long. This is how the Produce Pod works. The damp cotton inside layer keeps the vegetables hydrated, and the outer layer keeps them from drying up too quickly.
